TMax is a nutrient uptake technology incorporated into the formulation of selected ICL liquid and water-soluble fertilizers.
It combines chelating agents and other formulation components that help maintain nutrient availability and support nutrient uptake through the leaf and roots.
By supporting nutrient availability and uptake, TMax helps turf make effective use of applied nutrition.
How TMax works
TMax combines several types of formulation components, including:
- Chelating agents that help maintain certain nutrients in soluble, plant-available forms.
- Uptake-supporting components that help improve contact between the spray solution and the leaf surface.
- Additional formulation components, including vitamins and functional elements, incorporated as part of the TMax technology.
These components are incorporated into the fertilizer formulation, so there is no separate TMax product to add or tank-mix.
Foliar and root uptake
Where nutrients are taken up depends partly on application water volume and where the spray solution is deposited.
At lower water volumes, more of the application is retained on the leaf surface, supporting foliar uptake. At higher water volumes, more of the solution reaches the rootzone, where nutrients can be taken up through the roots.
