In this spotlight, ICL Agronomist and Sales Support expert Manuel Moreno shares his passion for helping farmers unlock their potential to grow more sustainably. Working closely with growers in the field, he promotes innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Manuel believes the future of agriculture lies in knowledge, collaboration, and technology – producing more with less while protecting the planet for generations to come.
What was the most important agricultural challenge you helped solve? What professional advice would you like to share with farmers?
My most important challenge is, on a daily basis, visiting farmers. What I do is to help farmers see that there is a possibility for improvement, and that it can be improved sustainably. We are already capable of producing more, higher-quality food in a more sustainable way. I encourage the farmers I work with every day to work toward improvement.
What significant changes do you observe in the agricultural sector?
The agricultural sector is and will become increasingly strategic for food security. Farmers will increasingly realize that their work is essential for the world to feed itself. This will be more than just a job; it will be a way of life committed to the environment and society.
What is your vision for the future of agriculture?
With the knowledge and technologies of ICL’s products, we are greatly contributing to achieving the goals of producing more with less, which makes it economically and environmentally profitable.
What research or technological innovation do you think will have a significant impact on farmers?
Knowledge of soil, microbiota, and plants, along with digital technologies, will be key to the future of agriculture. That’s why ICL is taking the right path by aiming to be a leader in the future of biostimulant products.
