Recycled Plastic Bags at ICL’s Fertilizer Factory in Totana, Spain

ICL proudly announce a significant step forward in our sustainability efforts. ICL’s fertilizer packaging site in Totana, South East Spain, now uses 30% recycled plastic in all of our plastic bags, showcasing our commitment to environmental stewardship. Achieving this milestone was not easy. The team conducted rigorous testing with various types of bags to ensure the quality and durability of the packaging. This dedication to innovation and sustainability is a confirmation of ICL’s proactive approach in this field.

Coming Soon: 70% Recycled Plastic Bags

And we are not stopping there. The factory is currently testing a new bag made with 70% recycled plastic. Although this advanced packaging is not yet in global use at ICL’s Totana facility, the ongoing trials demonstrate how ICL wants to push the boundaries of sustainable packaging even further.
