The third edition of the festival, accompanied by the European certification

The excellence of the agricultural sector on display in Borgo Montenero with the Zucchini Festival on 20 and 21 August.

An event that enhances the typical food and wine products of the Pontine countryside returns for the third time at the gates of San Felice Circeo and recalls the splendor of a fair founded in the 90s. There will be 2 days of exhibition open to the public and discussion between operators, in the central Piazza IV Ottobre in Borgo Montenero, thanks to the commitment of the Zucchino dell’Agro Pontino association.

This initiative mainly promotes dark zucchini, typical of the area, which has just received European certification.

In fact, the prestigious achievement of the European Union trademark certificate was presented to the Regional Council by the Councilor for Agriculture of the Lazio Region Giancarlo Righini and by the regional councilor Vittorio Sambucci, president of the Economic Development Committee, to the representatives of the association “Zucchino dell’Agro Pontino” Sergio Angri, Marco Giustini, Marco Coppi, Massimo Martufi, accompanied by the administrator of the Municipality of San Felice Circeo Luigi Di Somma.
