Soil moisture optimisers

Soil moisture optimising surfactants for turf are products that are designed to improve water infiltration, distribution and water retention within soils and rootzones, thereby helping turf to maintain optimal moisture levels for growth and performance. These products typically contain a combination of surfactants and humectants that work together to improve the water management capabilities of a soil.

Soil acting surfactants also help reduce the development of localised dry spot.  Localised dry spot occurs when localised areas of a soil become water-repellent as a result of being dried out.  can This can result in turf stress, turf dieback and result in inconsistent playing surfaces. High quality surfactants help to reduce or prevent the development of localised dry patch.

Soil moisture optimisers can be especially useful in arid or semi-arid regions where water is scarce and/or irrigation systems are limited.
