AIM: Trusted defence for stadium turf disease
Managing disease in stadium environments is a constant challenge, Sand-based constructions, shade, and limited airflow put even the best turf managers on the back foot.
On this page:
In summer and early autumn, irrigation is essential for maintaining soil moisture and playability, but this elevates humidity – creating ideal conditions for fungal pathogens like leaf spot, brown patch, and grey leaf spot to take hold.
As temperatures drop into late autumn and winter, stadium environments become even more vulnerable. Heavy dews in shaded areas with poor airflow lead to prolonged leaf wetness, creating near-ideal conditions for leaf spot and microdochium patch to develop under cooler temperatures.
The AIM package includes three fungicides that tackle these disease challenges from summer through to winter.
The AIM Package: One-Box Disease Control Solution
AIM is a one-box fungicide solution, providing a well-proven, cost-effective and agronomically strong disease control strategy.
The AIM pack contains three leading Syngenta fungicides: Ascernity, Instrata Elite and Medallion TL, specifically selected to provide an effective sequential strategy for disease control from summer through to winter.
Ascernity – 1 x 3 Litre
Dual systemic activity for summer and early autumn – provides exceptional efficacy in actively growing turf, targeting emerging disease activity.
Instrata Elite – 1 x 3 Litre
A dual-active solution (systemic + contact) for autumn – ideal for controlling pre-active and early-stage infections during slow growth periods.
Medallion TL – 1 x 3 Litre
A contact-active fungicide for winter – highly effective against spores and disease activity in little to no growth conditions, including leaf spot and microdochium patch.
Key Disease Pressures in Stadium Turf
Summer/Early Autumn
Frequent irrigation for playability and soil moisture raises humidity, encouraging:
- Leaf spot
- Brown patch
- Grey leaf spot
Late Autumn/Winter
Shaded environments with limited airflow create heavy dews and prolonged leaf wetness, encouraging:
- Leaf spot
- Microdochium patch
Turf Rewards: Added Value
Turf Rewards is a joint initiative by ICL and Syngenta, turning your purchases into points for valuable items like equipment, vouchers and learning opportunities.
The AIM Pack is worth 40 points, compared to just 15 if products are bought separately.
