Allan Wainwright is the Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland Landscape & Industrial sectors at ICL.Previously, Allan managed UK & Ireland Sales for the commercial division at Hozelock, where he improved sales in the lawn, landscape, and industrial sectors. He also spent time at Vitax, gaining important market insights and customer engagement skills.

Andrew began his career as a greenkeeper, earning the Toro Student Greenkeeper of the Year award in 2002. He studied at the University of Massachusetts before taking on various greenkeeping roles, including Deputy Course Manager at The Wildernesse Club and Deputy Superintendent at The Hertfordshire. He spent six years as Head Greenkeeper at Frinton Golf Club, then moved to Chelmsford Golf Club as Course Manager, a position he held for seven years. In addition to his golf course management roles, Andrew has volunteered as a groundsman at West Ham Utd FC for many years.

Colman is the Country Manager for Ireland. With over twenty years of experience in the horticulture industry, Colman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He began his education at Multyfarnham Horticulture College in Co Westmeath, then continued his studies at the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin, where he earned a higher diploma in Horticulture. During his education, Colman gained practical experience through work placements at golf courses and garden nurseries. Following his qualification, he managed several garden centres, further honing his skills and expertise in the industry.

Ed is Business Manager for ICL and has been with the company for almost 20 years. Before joining ICL Ed began his career as Northern Area Sales Manager at Alpha Amenity.

Fergal's extensive skillset was honed while working on various major golf courses in the US through the prestigious Ohio State Program. He also holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science in Horticulture, Landscape, and Sports Turf Management, along with a Certificate in Teaching. Before joining ICL, Fergal served as a horticulture lecturer at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) in Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Gavin joins ICL with more than 35 years of experience across golf course management, estate management and sportsturf operations. His career has included senior roles at leading golf venues, agronomic advisory work at tournament level, and a strong track record in sustainable turf management, team leadership and customer-focused technical support.

Henry has been in the turf industry for over 25 years. He originally trained as an agricultural agronomist but then joined the turfgrass industry as a trainee agronomist in the early 90’s. Henry has spent roughly half his career engaged in independent consultancy and the other half on the commercial side of the industry. Over the years Henry has built a reputation as being an enthusiastic and entertaining presenter who has always been very progressive in his views.

Jack has worked in the turf industry for over 20 years. He began his career as an Assistant Greenkeeper before progressing to Course Manager roles at several clubs in the North East of England. Over this time, he has built a strong reputation for developing high-quality playing surfaces and implementing effective turf programmes. Alongside his club work, Jack has been heavily involved in the wider industry through BIGGA, serving as Founding Chairman of the Young Greenkeepers Committee and Northern Region Director. He has also volunteered at leading tournaments including The Open and The BMW PGA Championship.

Kevin joins ICL from Pine Ridge Golf Club, where he served as Course Manager, leading an eight-strong team and overseeing all aspects of course maintenance and development. Prior to this, he held the position of Deputy Head Greenkeeper at Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club and began his career at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club. Across these roles, he has been responsible for course presentation, irrigation management, project delivery and staff development, including involvement in significant course improvement works.

Lewis Blois is the Business Development Manager for the Landscape & Industrial sectors in the UK & Ireland at ICL. He brings over 15 years of experience in the amenity sector. Previously, Lewis managed key accounts at Bayer Environmental Science, where he played a crucial role in launching and managing brands like Roundup, Ecoplug Max, and Valdor Flex/Lockstar. He also worked at Barenbrug as the Technical and Product Manager for their Amenity business. At ICL, Lewis focuses on driving growth and ensuring the company remains the top choice for customers through effective business development and strategic management.

Liam Hargreaves brings extensive experience in scientific research and product development for the sports turf industry. Holding a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Hull, he is BASIS and FACTS registered, demonstrating his commitment to evidence-based turf management solutions.In his role as Research and Development Officer at ICL, Liam works closely with the technical team to advance ICL’s Turf & Landscape product portfolio.His focus is on delivering high-performance, science-led solutions that support turf managers in achieving optimal results through innovation and sustainability.

With twelve years of experience as a greenkeeper at notable clubs and a BSc in Sports Turf Science and Management from Myerscough College, Liam brings valuable expertise to his role. His practical experience and technical education enable him to provide excellent service to turf managers and distributor partners. Liam is passionate about ICL products and committed to supporting his clients' needs.

With a strong background in turf and landscape management, Martyn brings valuable experience to his role. Starting his career in greenkeeping at his local golf club, Martyn completed a foundation degree in Sportsturf Management at Myerscough College. He participated in the Ohio State Programme, working on a Jack Nicklaus course construction and grow-in in Texas. Martyn then became Grounds Manager for a 400-acre landscape construction project in Henley on Thames. Before joining ICL, he worked as a Technical Area Sales Manager at Maxwell Amenity (later Agrovista Amenity), building an impressive client portfolio.

Peter brings more than 15 years’ experience working across some of the UK’s most respected golf venues, with a strong track record in delivering championship-standard playing surfaces.

He began his greenkeeping career at Kingsfield Golf Centre in 2009, where he played a key role in the grow-in of the full course from seed. Peter went on to hold senior positions at several prestigious clubs, including The Royal Burgess Golfing Society, Trump International Golf Links Scotland and Stirling Golf Club. Most recently, he served as Head Greenkeeper at Bathgate Golf Club, where he was responsible for all aspects of course preparation, including PGA and County events as well as long-term course development planning.

Alongside his club roles, Peter is an active member of the wider greenkeeping community and has previously served as a board member for BIGGA Scotland.

With almost 10 years of experience as a Head Groundsman in professional sport, Phil joined ICL in 2015. Phil holds both BASIS and FACTS advisor qualifications and has advanced to become an examiner for BASIS. His deep passion for the industry and progressive approach to turf management advice make him a highly valued member of the ICL team.

Philip has a wealth of experience in sports turf management and project execution. Holding an MSc in Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) from the University of Reading and a BSc Honours in Turfgrass Science and Golf Course Management from the University of Central Lancashire,His extensive experience includes leading sports turf projects in Doha, Qatar, where he served as Senior Sports Turf Manager and Project Manager. During his time in Qatar, Philip successfully managed the construction and maintenance of several World Cup stadiums and training facilities before, during, and after the FIFA World Cup 2022. His other roles in the Middle East include Project Manager and Group Training Manager at Desert Group LLC in Dubai.In the UK, Philip specialised in Golf Greenkeeping, holding various sports turf roles and serving as a senior lecturer and programme manager at Merrist Wood College for over 11 years. He was responsible for training and educating sports turf students at Levels 2 to 4.

Rob earned a National Diploma at Myerscough College and volunteered at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond Golf Course. He then became Deputy Head Greenkeeper at Leigh Golf Club. After a successful trial at Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Rob gained further experience at Manly Golf Club and Royal Sydney Golf Club in Australia. Upon returning to the UK, he was promoted to Head Greenkeeper at Leigh Golf Club at 25.

Before joining ICL, Thomas built an impressive career in greenkeeping, starting with an apprenticeship at South Moor Golf Club. He quickly advanced to Deputy Head Greenkeeper at Boldon Golf Club, where his focus on sustainability and innovation stood out. As Course Manager at Ravensworth Golf Club, he enhanced the course’s environmental credentials. Thomas was selected as an ICL Scholar at BTME in 2020, In his spare time, he enjoys kayaking, hiking, and golf, with a 5.1 handicap.
