Pitch Focus Ireland

Whether you’re responsible for maintaining a county ground, club pitch or local playing field, Pitch Focus Ireland is a practical event designed to help you develop and maintain healthy, resilient playing surfaces.

Hosted at MacHale Park, winner of the 2026 GAA National Pitch of the Year, the event will bring together practical advice, industry expertise and live demonstrations focused on the key aspects of effective pitch maintenance.

Throughout the day, sessions will cover nutrition, grass seed selection, moisture management and essential maintenance practices, providing practical guidance that can be applied to playing surfaces throughout the season.

The afternoon will move outdoors for a series of live demonstrations, giving attendees the opportunity to see key maintenance techniques in action. Killeen Sports Grounds will also be showcasing a selection of specialist pitch maintenance equipment.

Pitch Focus Ireland provides an opportunity for grounds teams and volunteers to learn from industry specialists, exchange knowledge with others responsible for maintaining playing surfaces, and take away practical ideas to put into use at their own grounds.
