The ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship for BIGGA Members
Providing greenkeepers with essential education and professional development opportunities.
Each year in July, the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) Premium Partner, ICL Turf & Landscape, offers an incredible opportunity for five BIGGA members to enhance their careers through the Continue to Learn education programme.
This initiative provides valuable career-development opportunities that might otherwise be inaccessible due to the costs associated with education, travel, and accommodation.
Levelling the playing field
ICL and BIGGA understand the financial barriers that can prevent many greenkeepers from accessing career-advancing educational programmes.
To address this, the ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship seeks to level the playing field, allowing ambitious BIGGA members who would otherwise miss out to participate in this fantastic experience.
Following a selection process, the ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship provides five BIGGA members with the chance to attend the Continue to Learn event at BTME. Valued at approximately £500, the scholarship includes three nights of hotel accommodation and a comprehensive education package.
Eligibility and Application Process
To apply for the ICL Continue to Learn Scholarship, applicants must be BIGGA members in one of the following categories:
- Full Member (categories 1A or 1B)
- Assistant Greenkeeper (in training) (categories 2A or 2B)
Applicants are also required to be CPD Active and available to attend BTME and Continue to Learn. Successful candidates will need to cover the costs of travel, meals, and any other personal expenses.
