Raised in the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico, Derek has a background in pecans and specialty crop production in the desert with a degree in Agriculture Economics/Agriculture Business from New Mexico State University. Derek has experience all the way from the grower to the manufacturer with over 10 years of experience in ag retail and wholesale. Derek’s background includes product blending, delivery, grower sales, sampling, program writing, product development, and wholesale most recently coming from Verdesian Life Sciences. He has serviced alfalfa, corn, cotton, pecans, pistachios, onions, chile, dry beans, potatoes, grapes, tree fruit, and leafy greens.
