Stellar 4GL is a perennial ryegrass developed for high-quality sports turf, golf and other intensively managed turf.
It combines strong performance under traffic with rapid recovery from damage and resistance to several important perennial ryegrass diseases. NTEP trials also demonstrate strong establishment and seedling vigor.

Independent NTEP testing provides comparative information on turfgrass cultivar performance under defined trial conditions. NTEP turfgrass ratings use a 1–9 scale, with 9 representing the highest rating.

Traffic performance and recovery
Stellar 4GL combines performance under traffic with rapid recovery from damage. It recorded a 3.6 turf quality rating under traffic and 93.0% divot recovery in NTEP testing.
For intensively used sports and golf turf, this combination helps maintain turf quality under wear while supporting recovery following damage.
Disease resistance
Stellar 4GL was developed as a fourth-generation Gray Leaf Spot-resistant perennial ryegrass and also provides strong resistance to Crown Rust and Pink Snow Mold.
It recorded 7.7 for Crown Rust resistance and 7.7 for Pink Snow Mold resistance in NTEP testing.
This broad disease-resistance profile helps maintain turf quality where these diseases are a management concern.

Establishment
Stellar 4GL recorded 6.4 for seedling vigor and 71.1% establishment in NTEP testing.
Strong establishment supports the development of turf cover when establishing new turf or carrying out renovation and overseeding.
Where to use Stellar 4GL
Stellar 4GL is suited to professional sports turf, high-traffic areas, golf tees and fairways, sod production, lawns and landscape turf, as well as renovation and overseeding.
It performs across a broad range of soil and environmental conditions, from full sun to medium shade, and can be maintained at mowing heights from 12 mm upwards.
