Key Conclusions
In this trial Agrocote and Agrocote/AN outperformed the standard farm practice, the application of Agrocote and AN increased the yield by 320kg per Ha and the 100% Agrocote improved the yield 1.76 m/t over the Standard Farm Practice.
By using Agrocote Max, the nitrogen losses reduced significantly, increasing crop yield and marketable yield by over 8%.
Objective
The purpose of this trial was to evaluate vigor, yield and quality by comparing Controlled Release Fertilisers (CRF) (Agrocote Max Nitrogen) to ammonium nitrate (AN) on a UK onion crop.
