This was a randomised trial of four replicates with three different application rates of Polysulphate: 100, 150 and 200 kg/ha.
Plot size was 1.5m x 10m.
Results
- Polysulphate increased the yield in all three doses with the application rate of 150 kg/ha giving the greatest results: a 33% yield increase over the control.
- At 100 kg/ha and 200 kg/ha the yield increased by 19% and 30% respectively.
- Using a market price of £450/tonne for vining peas, the return on investment for the farmer is £684/ha (€773/ha) applying 150 kg/ha of Polysulphate.
