Lending support to our communities
Once again ICL is pleased to be involved in providing a little festive cheer to The Treehouse hospice in Ipswich supplying two Nordmann Firs. The trees were grown by our former colleague, Mike Humphries, at his Bedfordshire Christmas tree farm.
“The Christmas trees are a fantastic addition – helping to start off the festive decorations at The Treehouse,” says Billie Nugent, Senior Corporate Fundraiser – East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Located close to our Ipswich head office, The Treehouse forms part of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supporting families and caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
First YPHA sponsor
The first company to lend its financial support to the Young Person Horticultural Association (YPHA), ICL is delighted to continue this sponsorship as a Key Partner. Set up 2020, the YPHA now boasts more than 1,100 members from across all UK horticultural sectors – not just ornamentals.
Alongside regular, fantastic in-person events – where members can meet, collaborate and make friends and contacts– the YPHA offers free Zoom webinars with inspiring speakers and industry experts. If you are aged 18 to 35 and want to make new friends, and contacts, within this wonderful industry, why not get involved? Visit https://www.ypha.org.uk/ for more information.
Sports sponsorship
Over the years, ICL has lent its support to several grassroots football clubs. This season we sponsored the Woodnesborough FC U12 boy’s home and away team kit. Managed and coached by ICL technical area sales manager Steve Chapman, the team – which stars Max and Zach Chapman – plays in the Faversham District League and is currently top of the league (with a game in hand!)
In 2024 we have been pleased to continue our sponsorship of the playing kit for Cornwall county badminton player, Julian Cooper – operations manager at Kernock Plants.
