Enhancing moisture penetration and retention

To ensure even and complete moisture distribution and retention throughout our growing media, we include H2Gro wetting agent as standard to all our Levington Advance and Levington Advance Sustain proprietary 75-litre bagged mixes and bespoke mixes.

Its inclusion plays a significant role creating a solid foundation for your plants, reducing both drought stress and nutritional deficiencies. In short, H2Gro plays a vital role helping growing media perform its fundamental roles, anchoring plants, while helping to ensure sufficient moisture and nutrition is available.

Premixed in your growing media, our unique water management tool helps ensure water flows evenly and seamlessly throughout your plant containers, preventing dry patches and retaining moisture for longer periods.

Essential for peat-reduced and peat-free mixes

This is particularly true in sustainable peat-reduced and peat-free mixes, as coir and wood-based ingredients – such as woodfibre – tend to be more hydrophobic, ie they naturally retain less water.  With its 3 in 1 mode of action, H2Gro gets to work immediately, counteracting this hydrophobicity.

Maximising irrigation efficiency in hot weather

With H2Gro pre-mixed into your growing media, your irrigation will become more efficient – with water flowing evenly and staying available for longer. These benefits become even more apparent during hot weather, reducing the risk of plants drying out.

For additional support during extreme heat, H2Gro is also available as a standalone product (in 5L containers up to 1000L IBCs). By simply adding to a stock tank and apply via the irrigation system (such as a Dosatron) you can enhance water retention and keep plants hydrated for extended periods.

Extending plant shelf life before dispatch

H2Gro can also prolong plant shelf life, making it an excellent final step before dispatch. A pre-shipment application ensures your customers receive plants with superior water management properties, enhancing overall performance.
