Dr Andy Owen
ICL International Technical Manager
Andy is a sports-turf agronomist and a soil scientist who has previously worked as a researcher at the STRI (Sports Turf Research Institute), and a lecturer at Myerscough College. His current role focuses on research and new product development for the Turf and Landscape division at ICL.
Colman Warde
Ireland Country Manager for ICL
With over 25 years in the Turf & Landscape Industry, Colman started his education at Multyfarnham Horticulture College in Co Westmeath before continuing his studies at the National Botanic gardens in Dublin - where he achieved a higher diploma in Horticulture. Colman has worked with ICL now for over 15 years.
Sean Loakes
Syngenta Technical Manager
Sean has had a career in science and research through practical field trials and laboratory studies, primarily focused on pesticide efficacy and best practice. He ensures UK & Ireland turf managers are best placed to implement new ideas & innovations from Syngenta turf R&D into integrated programmes.
Glenn Kirby
Syngenta EAME Technical Services Manager for Turf & Landscape
Prior to joining Syngenta Glenn managed turf for over 25 years working and studying in both Europe and the USA. He has managed clubs at both ends of the spectrum with both large and small budgets and experience of working over 15 televised golf events.
Fergal Greenan
ICL Area Sales Manager
Fergal holds a Degree in Horticulture from UCD and has an extensive background in working with sportsturf contractors and golf courses worldwide. Fergal later transitioned to share his practical experiences as a Sportsturf lecturer at CAFRE college in Antrim.
Mark Collins
Killeen Castle Course Superintendent
Mark has dedicated his entire career to golf course maintenance. His journey began at Sutton Golf Club, and he later played a pivotal role in overseeing the grow-in at Killeen Castle. Under his stewardship, Killeen Castle hosted the prestigious Solheim Cup in 2011, as well as the Ladies Irish Open in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Sean Loakes of Syngenta covers how to get the best from Primo Maxx II and the most efficient timings. Mark Collins discusses his personal experiences this season with Primo Maxx on fairways, reducing clipping yields to enable collection, and if this has had an effect on worm casting.
