A controlled‑release NPK fertilizer (CRF) without trace elements served as the base fertilization. Micromax Premium was incorporated into the substrate at 0.15 g/l and 0.3 g/l, while the control treatment received only CRF.
Two substrate types were tested: a peat‑based mix and a peat‑free mix.
Each treatment consisted of 36 plants across four replicates, ensuring reliable comparison.

Results

The 2025 season was relatively dry, resulting in minimal nutrient leaching and allowing all applied nutrients to remain available throughout the trial period.

Plants receiving only NPK showed reduced vigor and lower overall quality. In contrast, the addition of Micromax Premium produced clear improvements in both substrates.

 

Peat‑based substrate

  • 0.15 g/l Micromax Premium: Higher plant quality and ~20% increase in fresh weight
  • 0.3 g/l Micromax Premium: Further improvement in quality and ~40% increase in fresh weight

 

Peat‑free substrate

  • 0.3 g/l Micromax Premium: Comparable plant quality to peat‑based results and ~15% increase in fresh weight

Across all treatments, Micromax Premium enhanced trace‑element availability, supporting stronger growth, improved biomass production, and visibly better plant quality.

The graph shows the average plant quality score for each treatment, rated on a 1–3 scale, where 1 represents first‑class plants and 3 represents third‑class plants. Lower scores therefore indicate better quality.

The graph presents the average fresh weight measured for each treatment. Plants grown with Micromax Premium show a clear increase in fresh weight compared to the NPK‑only control.
