The natural, multi-nutrient mineral fertiliser Polysulphate is the foundation of our Polyhalite-based fertilisers. We produce Polysulphate from polyhalite, the 4-in-1 mineral containing sulfur, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Polysulphate is mined, crushed, and screened ready for use, giving Polysulphate its naturally low carbon footprint.
Polysulphate for Crops
Polysulphate has a natural prolonged nutrient release and is approved for organic agriculture. Its low pH, low salt index, and very low chloride content make Polysulphate a highly versatile, crop and soil-safe mineral fertiliser.
Polysulphate can also be combined with other nutrients to create fertilisers capable of providing even more nutrients in a single, extended-availability granule.
Polysulphate’s Unique Production
Polysulphate is a mineral fertiliser created from the natural multi-nutrient mineral, polyhalite. We mine polyhalite ICL Boulby, our mine in North Yorkshire, UK. ICL Boulby is the world’s only polyhalite mine, 1,200m under the North Sea. The raw polyhalite is transported to the surface, where it is crushed and screened, ready for sale to growers.
The Polysulphate Range of Fertilisers
Polysulphate is available in different grades: fine powdered Polysulphate Standard; small granules in Polysulphate Mini; and regular granules as Polysulphate Granular. In addition, we use Polysulphate in our Polysulphate-based fertilisers, for example, our Polysulphate Premium, ICL PKPlus, ICL PotashpluS, and more.
