AgTech to Shape the Future of Agriculture
Cutting-edge AgTech will help us overcome crises that are inevitable in the agricultural industry
The climate crisis and political conflicts continue to challenge the global food supply. With the world population having passed 8 billion people earlier this year, the demand for food is higher than ever. But so is our awareness of the impact of agriculture on the planet and the need for more sustainable methods and technology. So, we are faced with the double challenge of producing more food but in a more sustainable way. This was one of the many topics at the recent IFA annual conference, where the World Economic Forum presented data highlighting the potential for AgTech in tackling this challenge. In their “Markets of Tomorrow report (2023),” the WEF highlighted agriculture technology as the global technology of prime strategic importance. ICL President & CEO Raviv Zoller shares this opinion and agrees that “the threat is evident as the climate crisis and political conflicts continue to pose challenges to the food supply. However, for me and for other participants in the convention, it seems like a clear opportunity.”
New technologies are reshaping reality and presenting solutions that were previously unimaginable.
Leveraging cutting-edge technologies will help us overcome crises that are inevitable in the agricultural industry. ICL has a track record of developing innovative products to help growers increase their yields and to reduce the environmental impact of farming. Now, looking to the future, ICL aims to lead the way in using AgTech to create powerful solutions that will shape the future of agriculture through our commitment to innovation and collaboration with various technology companies. Ravi Zoller believes “these solutions will help us overcome the crises that will inevitably arise.”
