Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, presented its European Responsible Care® awards for 2024 to honor initiatives that excel at sustainability, innovation, and responsible care within the chemical industry.
ICL has been recognized with the 2024 European Responsible Care® Award by the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) for its innovative initiative, “Closing the Phosphate Loop: ICL’s Recycled Phosphate Fertilizer.” This award highlights ICL’s commitment to sustainability and its groundbreaking Puraloop fertilizer, which aims to promote a circular economy and enhance global food security.
Puraloop is a phosphorus fertilizer produced by recycling phosphorus from organic waste streams. This innovative product not only matches the performance of traditional phosphate fertilizers but also addresses global waste and environmental concerns by converting waste into a valuable agricultural resource.
