Yield Increase

Key Conclusions

Higher yields – up by 13%

Steered by soil temperature, nitrogen is released according to plant
needs and improves marketable yield by extra 4 mt/ha

Fewer applications – lower costs

A single base fertilization with Agromaster® eliminates the need for
multiple fertiliser applications thus saving costs of labour and fuel,
by around 35 €/ha per application

20% lower rates and higher NUE – up by 31%

Agromaster® is much more efficient than N-inhibitors and conventional
N-fertilizers due to its controlled release technology. Lowering N
rates by 20% and achieving higher yields lead to 31% increase in
NUE. This equals to extra 42 kg of cauliflower per kg of N applied

Positive ROI – extra 4778 €/ha

Yield increase brings extra profit to growers and makes Controlled
Release Fertilizers (CRF) a reliable solution to fertilize open field soil
grown crops

Objective

To evaluate the benefits of a single application of Agromaster® on
Nitrogen Use Efficiency and the yield of cauliflower.

This is compared to split applications of double inhibited urea and conventional
N-fertilizers which are frequently used as standard farm practice.

In all treatments P and K were equally applied by using TSP and ICL PotashpluS.
* For this trial purposes, Agromaster® was created by combining fully coated urea by
eqo.x release technology with uncoated nitrogen.
Eqo.x is ICL’s fully biodegradable technology for Controlled Release Fertilizers.
