This trial in the Netherlands shows how Polysulphate fertilizer increases potato yield for all grades of potato, with an increase of up to 3.3 t/ha, or 5-6%, for all grades of potato.

Treatments
- The use of Polysulphate was compared with kieserite to supply magnesium, the current standard practice.
- 47 kg/ha of Mg as magnesium oxide (MgO) was supplied by both sources.
- The rate of 791 kg/ha of Polysulphate supplied additional potassium and calcium to the treatment that was compared with the control with kieserite.

- There was no significant effect on tuber density, an indicator of industrial quality.
Polysulphate increased potato tuber yield by 5% in every potato grade.
