ICL’s Charleston facility in the USA specializes in producing coated controlled-release fertilizers, particularly for professionals in the horticulture and specialty agriculture sector. The coating process controls the release of nutrients, enabling efficient, prolonged nutrient delivery.
Since its establishment in 1989, the site has been producing Osmocote, a leading brand in controlled-release fertilizers for the horticulture sector, and more recently added Agriform to its portfolio of products.
In 2003, ICL Growing Solutions Charleston significantly expanded its capacity, increasing its production lines from one to three. This expansion also introduced a soft-blending facility to ensure the effectiveness of controlled-release fertilizers is retained when they are incorporated into fertilizer blends.
