Treatments

The trial was set up in China in 2020 in rice (Oryza sativa), cv. ‘Longjing 46’ and tested the efficiency of watersoluble fertilizer Nova HiPeaK compared to traditional MKP. Nova HiPeaK has a higher solubility which makes it suitable for use in low temperatures.

  • Two treatments (one in jointing and one in booting stage).
  • Three different concentrations (0.75, 1, 1.5 kg/ha) of Nova HiPeaK and MKP.
  • Two forms of Nova HiPeaK applications (foliar spray and drone spray).
  • All plots received the same base dose of a conventional fertilizer. The control plot received only the base fertilizer.

Results

Plant height

Rice plants grew the highest after the drone application of 1.5 kg/ha Nova HiPeaK.

Number of ears and seeds

The most concentrated foliar application of Nova HiPeaK gave the highest number of ears as well as seeds.

 

 

Grain weight

The highest concentration of Nova HiPeaK applied by drone resulted in the highest weight of 1000 grains.

 

Yield

Yields were highest after the foliar applications of Nova HiPeaK; with the highest concentration giving the best yield.
