Why I use ICL Potash KCl in my Oil Palm Plantation
The higher potassium content of ICL’s potash makes it the right choice for me to use on my plantations and to sell to other farmers.
As an owner of oil palm plantations in Thailand, and with 20 years of operating the Klonghin Agriculture supplies shop, I understand the importance of choosing the right fertilizer.
For me, ICL Potash is the right choice for us to sell, and for me to use on my own oil palm plantations.
Higher Potash Concentration
I like using ICL because it is the only potash fertilizer in the world that originated from the Dead Sea in Israel. This potash has the highest possible potassium concentration, higher than other sources, which is very important to me.
Usually, the potassium (K2O) content for MOP is 60%, but when we get the analysis of ICL’s potash we find that it is higher, around 61-62%, and the analysis has never been lower than 61%.
This makes me really confident in the quality of the product.
Better Value Potash
So, when I talk to our oil palm growers, they are interested in this higher concentration, especially when they find out it is the same price as other potash products.
If the price is the same, but the potassium percentage is higher, I am buying more potassium for my money!
As a trader, we find ICL Potash is a good choice. While, as a farmer, I have seen the prices of all my inputs go up, by choosing ICL’s potash we are getting more potassium, so it is actually better value than the other products.
Heavier Bunch Weights
We see that good potash fertilization delivers larger palm fruit bunch weights, and therefore, we actually get higher profits when we sell at the market.
As a trader, I have now been selling ICL potash for about 20 years, and I trust the product’s quality, and my farmer customers tell me the same thing. This confidence in the quality of ICL Potash is key.
