Tour day at Rotem site
Exploring Rotem's mine: sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration unfold
Today’s unexpected turn of events turned into a remarkable experience with Dutch entrepreneurs from the Growers group.
At Rotem, we were awed by the mine’s massive trucks — a testament to the scale of operations, even as the mine itself faced flooding. As we navigated the site, I had the privilege to share insights into ICL’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, hallmarks that guide every project, including the pioneering ‘Plant of the Future’ at the White Acid Plant.
Discussions with the group delved into our soluble fertilizers, their vital role in agriculture, and their global impact. It was a collaborative effort: Ran Kagan guided us through the mine, Adam Saitowitz enlightened us on ICL’s sustainable practices, Or Yacobowitz introduced the futuristic plant, and I walked the group through the innovative production site of the WSF such as solid phosphoric acid called Nova PeKacid , patented water-soluble PK fertilizer that is ideal for open-field and soilless crops. Nova Peak, Nova MagPhos, Nova ZincPhos ,Nova PK88. Each of the soluble fertilizers are made from high-quality raw materials .The Nova specialty fertilizers are of unrivaled quality and high solubility. They are selected and produced for professionals in fertigation and foliar application. The Nova fertilizers are a raw material for the special fertilizers composed n unique combinations adapted to field crops, greenhouse plantations and hydroponics.
A special thanks to Riny Westdijk from Holland for organizing and bringing this knowledgeable team to our doorstep.
The tour was a blend of improvisation and inspiration, proving that even at short notice, we can create memorable and informative experiences.
