Osmocote 5 Stories: Rhodoglen Nurseries, Australia

In the past year, Osmocote 5 trials took place at Rhodoglen Nurseries in Victoria, Australia. Andrew Raper, owner of Rhodoglen Nurseries, is a long-standing supporter of ICL products and was keen to be involved in the trials of Osmocote 5. Not because he had any issues with his current practice, but to say it in his words: “Any new product from ICL works towards greater outcomes and better controls.” In these trials Andrew used Camelias as the trial crop.

Osmocote 5: Grower’s experiences

Rhodoglen Nurseries was completely happy with the products they had been producing for many years using Osmocote Pro (8-9 months). Andrew: “Compared to the control batch, Osmocote 5 produced a far more consistent crop, with improved branching, earlier budding and improved color retention. Importantly, the trial batch was the first to sell due to earlier finishing.”

Andrew is keen to recommend Osmocote 5 to other growers, saying “it is the real deal”. With stock of Osmocote 5 being readily available from 2021, we can look forward to many more great and healthy Camellias being produced by Rhodoglen Nurseries in the future.
