As a programmed-release fertilizer, Osmocote® Exact Protect 12-14M is ideal for mid-Oct to mid-Jan pottings and salt-sensitive crops. This includes conifers, roses, and bare-rooted plant material. So when spring arrives, you don’t need to re-fertilize if you used the full application, leaving you more time for those busy sales periods. Osmocote® Exact Protect 12-14M can be mixed in the potting substrate or dibbled in the plant hole. Dibbling is only recommended for well-rooted liners (P9). Only use fertilizer applicators which do not damage the coating.

How to calculate the granules per pot or container at the application rates below:

– 5 g/l Osmocote® Exact Protect
Total = 15 g/pot
These rates are based on potting substrates with max. 0.5 kg/m3 base fertilizer and are general recommendations. For most pottings, no base fertilizer is needed. To ensure enough feed is available in springtime, the dosage should be between 3 and 6 kg/m³ (depending on the crop). Contact your ICL advisor for more detailed advice.

Osmocote® Exact Protect is a 100% dual-coated fertilizer; the initial release of nutrients is postponed in the first 1.5 to 2 months. It is very important to apply Osmocote® Exact Protect in the correct potting period. Depending on your circumstances, it might be necessary to slightly re-fertilize in the summer period. Contact your ICL advisor for tailor-made advice. Trial first on a small scale before changing the rate, application or any other variables. As circumstances can differ and as the application of our products is beyond our control, ICL cannot be held responsible for any adverse results.
