SeaMist
ProSelect SeaMist is a 100% slender creeping red fescue (Festuca rubra trichophylla) developed for fine turf where salinity, shade and establishment can limit performance.
Its standout characteristic is salt tolerance. SeaMist can germinate in water with salinity up to 40% of seawater, making it particularly suited to coastal turf, areas exposed to sea spray and sites irrigated with saline or effluent water.
SeaMist also combines strong seedling vigor with dense growth, helping support rapid establishment and a uniform turf surface. In NTEP testing, it ranked highly for overall turf quality, alongside strong shade tolerance, summer live cover and disease performance.
Its tolerance of mowing from 7-30 mm extends its use across golf, landscape and other fine turf applications, including sod production.
