AGRIOS carries out its activities following the provincial laws in force and the resolutions of the provincial council. The Working Group develops guidelines for integrated fruit production and for the harvesting, storage and marketing of fruit and submits them to the authorities for approval.

Producers and commercial companies that intend to participate in the AGRIOS program must submit a written request for participation to an independent certification body at the beginning of each fruit-growing year. Membership is open to all fruit growers and distributors who undertake to respect the directives. Participation in the program must be renewed every year.

Fruit originating from Alto Adige and compliant with the specifications is entitled to bear the denomination “Alto Adige fruit from integrated agriculture”.

Integrated agriculture – what does it mean?

  • Integrated production is implemented by safeguarding natural resources, conserving the fertility of the land and making prudent use of soil improvers.
  • Integrated production embraces all the intervention and care measures for the orchard adopted during a campaign.
  • All interventions, which must be recorded in a field notebook, are subjected to verification by an independent control body.

AGRIOS includes Polysulphate in its list!

We are proud to announce that on January 31, 2024, our Polysulphate Granular fertilizer received authorization for use in South Tyrolean Agriculture.
