Key Conclusions

  • Reduced Fertilizer Dose: Agromaster® with a 35% lower dose rate provided similar yields as full-dose conventional fertilizers, effectively saving on production costs.
  • Improved NUE: Agromaster® improved nitrogen use efficiency by up to 57%, which means more rice yield per unit of nitrogen applied.
  • Economic Benefits: The yield increase translated into an extra profit of 380 €/ha, presenting a positive return on investment for rice growers.
  • Controlled Nitrogen Release: The controlled release formula of Agromaster® reduced nitrogen losses and increased its effectiveness, enhancing overall crop performance.

Objective

Evaluate the impact of Agromaster® 30-8-12, 71% coated N, on rice yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) compared to standard NPK fertilizers.

Results

Increased Yield: Using Agromaster® resulted in a yield increase of up to 17% compared to standard NPK fertilizers.

A bar and line chart showing rice yield (kg/ha) and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) across five treatments. Yields range from 6,804 to 8,073 kg/ha. The highest yield, 8,073 kg/ha, occurs with Agromaster (280 NFU). NUE increases from 12.7 in the Control (280 NFU) to a peak of 20.1 in Agromaster, reduced N (220 NFU). The chart indicates that Agromaster treatments outperform controls in both yield and efficiency.
